Eligibility
You may qualify if you:
are a resident of Wisconsin
are pregnant, breastfeeding or a new mother
have a child under five years old and
have a house hold income that meets the WIC Guidelines
The Jackson County WIC has a Certified Lactation Educator, Certified Lactation Counselor and a Peer Breastfeeding Counselor to provide breastfeeding education and support.
The State WIC Program provides the Jackson County WIC Project with manual and electric breast pumps to give to breastfeeding mothers returning to work or school. Assistance in obtaining breast pumps through the BadgerCare program is also provided.
The WIC program also facilitates referrals to other important health related programs such as immunizations, car seats and fluoride varnish programs.
